50 and Over Balance, Strength, and Fitness
Do you struggle to have strength or energy to do the things you used to do or want to do on a daily basis? Are you worried about falling? Has your doctor mentioned bone density as a concern? Do you struggle to control your bladder like you want? The first things your body loses with age are balance and power. The leading injuries for ages 50 and up are fall related injuries. Bone density loss starts around age 40 and can improve or stop with weight bearing exercise. Loss of pelvic floor strength can lead to bladder control issues. Many people over the age of 50 also struggle with muscle loss, flexibility loss or weight gain. If any of these issues relate to you or you want to change up your fitness routine, you should join this great class!
Taught by Fellow of Applied Functional Science, Kinesiologist, Biomechanical Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer, Markell Lyng, this class will meet your needs! You do not have to be over 50 or have any of the above issues to join this class - you will receive a great workout! If you have injuries or limitations Markell can help you modify so you can still participate in the class!
