Monthly Dues
Monthly dues are drafted on the first day of each month, September-August. Monthly drafts will also include meet fees or other charges from the previous month.  Upon registration, participants commit to paying dues until 30 days’ notice is given to end membership. You are responsible for monthly dues until you cancel participation.  Multi swimmer discounts will be available to families with 2 or more swimmers.

Registration Fees
The registration fee covers both the USA Swimming Registration and CMSA team registration. This fee is payable for every swimmer at time of registration.  Registration fees are not prorated and are nonrefundable. Swimmers joining Age Group 1, Age Group 2, Age Group 3, Senior 2, or Senior 3 will recieve full membership benefits through USA Swimming, including unlimited swim meets and year-round premium swimming insurance.  Swimmers joining a Flex group (Red, White or Blue) will be registered with USA Swimming’s Flex Membership Plan allowing the swimmer to participate in up to 2 local, USA Swimming meets per year.  After exceeding two meets, swimmers in Flex groups may elect to continue participating in meets, but must upgrade to Premium Insurance.

Fundraising
Monthly dues alone do not cover all of the necessary costs associated with club operation.  Our fundraising obligation minimizes increases to monthly dues.  Fundraising for the year is due by May 15th.  If fundraising is not paid by this date, the amount will be automatically withdrawn with monthly dues on July 1st.  If you give 30 days’ notice and have not met your fundraising commitment, you will owe the amount of fundraising prorated to the months participated upon withdrawal. Families with fundraising amounts in excess of their minimum will have 25% of the excess credited to their Team Unify account.

New families in Red, White, and Blue groups will not be required to fundraise.  Every returning family will be enrolled in fundraising, regardless of group. Their monthly commitment will be prorated each month in which a member participates in a CMSA practice or event.

New families in Age Group 1 or Age Group 2 groups will be without fundraising commitments for three months so that they may become familiarized with the process. Their annual commitment would be $150 per family.  This exemption does not apply to an existing family with an older sibling on the team.

The Board of Directors has set the fundraising requirements each family is required to raise or be assessed at the following amounts:

  • No fundraising for new families in Red, White, and Blue Groups
  • $100 – Returning families in Red, White, or Blue Groups
  • $150 – New families in Age Group 1 and Age Group 2
  • $225 – Returning families in Age Group 1 and Age Group 2
  • $250 – All returning families not listed above

Meet Fees
Typical meet fees are only an approximation, and these numbers will changes from meet to meet. All meet fees are posted in the meet information. Event fees and surcharges are at the host team’s discretion. If a swimmer does not participate in a meet in which they were entered the family is still responsible for this payment as hosting clubs do not offer refunds.

Travel fees will accompany all away meets that CMSA attends. These fees will be added to your meet entries based on the number of athletes in attendance and the distance from Mobile.
