Swim Team Groups
Each swimmer is placed with a coach to work on stroke development according to their swimming abilities. Coaching staff speak the same language so transitions from one coach to another is seamless.
Erin coaches the developmental swimmers in lane 1. Emphasis is placed on learning legal competitive strokes, body position, breathing, balance in the water, and having fun. There are 5 practices (each an hour long) offered a week, and swimmers are encouraged to attend 3 practices per week. Bronze practices are held Tuesday - Friday, from 4:00-5:00, with an additional "early release practice" from 2:15-3:15 on Wednesdays.
Swimmers continue to work on stroke technique with an increased emphasis on conditioning. There are 5 practices offered per week (each 1.5 hours long), and swimmers are encouraged to attend 4 - 5 practices per week. Silver practices are held Monday - Friday from 4:00-5:30pm.
The senior group trains 6 times per week. In this group, swimmers will continue to refine strokes, improve race techniques, and place a heavy emphasis on conditioning with the goal of competing at the State, Sectional, or Junior National level at the end of each season. Gold practices are held Monday-Friday from 4:00-6:00pm, and on Saturdays from 8:30-11:00am.
