Welcome to Denver Swim Academy (DSA). As we begin our ninth season, a big thank you must go out to all of our parents and swimmers for their encouragement, dedication, and support. Their endless commitment is directly responsible for our past accomplishments as well as our continued success.
We appreciate and thank you for your interest in our competitive program. Our coaching staff always welcomes an opportunity to teach and guide young athletes. We feel that we have, along with our swimmers, created a comfortable and supportive learning environment where all athletes have an opportunity to reach their goals and potential. Our coaches firmly believe in helping swimmers develop a strong technical foundation and excellent practice habits at an early age, while also supporting valuable life skills, including sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, dedication, and responsibility for oneself and others. Then, continue to reinforce those essential practice and life skills as they progress through our training groups.
DSA is still a relatively new club, established in 2009. However, our Age Group and Senior swimmers have displayed exceptional success and provided some outstanding moments in a short period of time. Our 14 & Under swimmers have consistently performed well at swim meets, including the Colorado State Championships (2012 and 2014 Short Course Champions) and Western Zone Age Group Championships. Our Senior swimmers continually achieve high rankings on a local and national level. Our swimmers and coaches will tell you, good practice skills/habits will take you a long ways.
We are excited to have the support of Regis Jesuit High School. We train at Regis throughout the year, along with long course training at the Lowry and Congress Park pools during the summer. Presently, our coaching staff consists of Nick Frasersmith, Chris Koerber, Erik Downs, Kevan Valenzuela; each bringing a vast wealth of experience and a true passion for the sport. Additionally, Ben Freeman, a physical therapist and strength and conditioning coach, works with us on the dry side of the program.
Again, thank you for your interest and support. We look forward to many more great moments and achievements this season, both in and out of the water.
