MACS Recognized as a 2013 Silver Medal Club by USA Swimming
Click here for more information about the Club Excellence program from USA Swimming. This is the fifth consecutive year that MACS has earned this recognition.
The program recognizes USA Swimming clubs for their commitment to excellence in performance. In addition to recognizing high performing teams, the program provides grant funding for resources that enable clubs to expand and/or enhance the services they already provide to athletes.
Bonnie Brandon Selected to Represent Team USA
Results: Bonnie Brandon earned a Silver Medal in the 200m backstroke event at the 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships!
Congratulations to MACS alum and University of Arizona swimmer Bonnie Brandon for being selected to represent Team USA at the 2012 FINA Short Course World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
The U.S. swimmers selected to compete
at the Short Course World Championships were chosen based upon their performance at any of the three meets: the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, the 2012 Olympic Games or the 2012 U.S. Open.
Bonnie will be joined by 17 Olympians and several top collegiate swimmers at the first large international swimming competition after the 2012 Olympic Games.
MACS Girls Rock the 2012 Colorado High School Swimming Championship
MACS had nine swimmers representing their high school swim teams at the 2012 Colorado High School Swimming Championship in Fort Collins. Highlights of the meet include Bonnie Brandon and Allison Arnold finishing first and second in the 500 free, with Bonnie setting a new state record. Bonnie’s first-place finish in the 200 IM also set a new state record.
