Girls wear 1 piece performance suits. Black, royal blue, or some form of blue/black pattern is a safe bet for meets, any color works for practice. Use the brand's measuring charts for proper size selection. For some ideas, see: Swim Outlet If you have questions on how suits fit, don't hesitate to ask another parent. Many of us have gone through different brands to find something we find suitable for our kiddos.
Boys may find jammers their preference, again, same color guides as above. For ideas, see Boys Suits
Caps: silicone or latex work well. Some find silicone last longer or are easier to wear, but it's personal preference. Swimmers will receive a Peak silicone cap for meets.
Goggles: The sporti goggles work fine. Competitive swimmers find they really like the Speedo Vanquishers best, but again, fit and selection of goggles is a personal preference.
Swimmers of all levels must have long blade training fins. You may select whichever brand you wish. Most of the fins on THIS PAGE would work. A couple of them have shorter fins, so stay with the floating fins, or those with long blade in description.
SWIM GEAR SHOPPING: 8% BACK TO TEAM
Wondering about shopping for swim gear? Many of us purchase our swim gear through Swim Outlet. Peak Swim Team has a store front (https://www.swimoutlet.com/peakswim/) and we will receive 8% cash back from all purchases made through that link. Our store does not have many requirements, but we still earn that 8% off of whatever you purchase through our link. Swim Outlet fees are reasonable, and it helps to watch for their sales.
If you do have questions on what to buy, don't hesitate to ask the Board members or coaches! You don't have to buy the most expensive items to get what you need and what works well for your swimmer.
