Meet the Coaches

 Head Coach Dr. Cheryl Higdon-Holloway

Dr. Cheryl Higdon Holloway began her competitive swimming career when she was five years old.  She swam for the North Jeffco Swim Team, in Arvada, Colorado, under Coach Ken Kelly.  After her family moved to Pueblo when she was eleven, she swam for Pueblo teams until she was eighteen years old.  At seventeen she was hired as an assistant swimming coach to one of the Pueblo teams.  This led to a life-long service working with hundreds of youth and adults in the coaching, administration, and biomechanical analysis areas of competitive swimming.  To increase her knowledge and enhance her skills, she acquired two Masters Degrees and a Doctors Degree emphasizing biomechanics and the science of human motion.  Throughout the past 48 ½ years she has coached seven swimming teams.  Five of those teams, she organized and developed from their beginning.  Her knowledge in biomechanics, expert skill in computerized biomechanical analysis, and her years of coaching experience and competitive swimming skill qualifies her among the best of her educated coaching peers.
