Head Coach Dr. Cheryl Higdon-Holloway

Dr. Cheryl Higdon Holloway began her competitive swimming career when she was five years old. She swam for the North Jeffco Swim Team, in Arvada, Colorado, under Coach Ken Kelly. After her family moved to Pueblo when she was eleven, she swam for Pueblo teams until she was eighteen years old. At seventeen she was hired as an assistant swimming coach to one of the Pueblo teams. This led to a life-long service working with hundreds of youth and adults in the coaching, administration, and biomechanical analysis areas of competitive swimming. To increase her knowledge and enhance her skills, she acquired two Masters Degrees and a Doctors Degree emphasizing biomechanics and the science of human motion. Throughout the past 48 ½ years she has coached seven swimming teams. Five of those teams, she organized and developed from their beginning. Her knowledge in biomechanics, expert skill in computerized biomechanical analysis, and her years of coaching experience and competitive swimming skill qualifies her among the best of her educated coaching peers.

Assistant Coach Seth Holloway

Seth joined us this fall entering his second season as an Assistant Coach. He brings the skill our swimmers need both as a coach and swimmer. Before joining us, he was Assistant Coach for Central New Mexico Aquatics, and was recently Scoutmaster and church youth group leader of about 30 youth for five years. During this time, he not only taught and worked closely with youth on faith-based principles and outdoor skills, he also taught several
scouts learn to swim as a swimming merit badge counselor.
He has over thirteen years in competitive swimming from the collegiate level down to competing as a five year old boy. He even swam for the Stingrays under Coach Cheryl Higdon-Holloway! He was a Lifeguard and Swimming
Instructor for three seasons during his youth.
When Seth isn't on the pool deck, he's usually spending time with his wife and five children or working. By profession, Seth is a Product Design Engineer for Trane Commercial HVAC Systems, he has an MSME from
Purdue University. He is passionate about teaching youth life skills! He loves swimming and even swims now on the recently formed masters team!
