Supplemental groups for the Senior Gold swimmers: If interested in either of the following groups let Coach Sydney know. If selected, this training will be added to your current schedule but the expectation is that you are prepared to do this type of work as required each week. Also, at any time you could be pulled off a group based on daily performance, attitude, or inability to handle this training. This training is included with the Standard-USRPT training. Please only respond if you fall into one of the categories below and meet the requirements.

SPRINT-USRPT Group:

For a select few who have achieved zone level cuts (or higher), an “AA” cut in the 50 or 100 yard Free and have the mental capacity to focus on the 50-sprint event. Swimmer must have attempted all swimming events and distances at least once in their swimming career. Head Coach invitation required to join the Sprint-USRPT team. Swimmer will have to demonstrate the ability to stay focused and perform at optimal levels in practice. Sprint USRPT is the latest manual from Dr. Rushall and addresses the 50 Free sprint for optimum speed and power.

DISTANCE-USRPT Group:

For a select few who have achieved zone level cuts (or higher), have an “A” cut in the 1650, 1000 or 500 yard events (or LC equivalents) and have the mental capacity to focus on distance events. Swimmer must have attempted all swimming events and distances at least once in their swimming career. Head Coach invitation required to join the Distance-USRPT team. Swimmer will have to demonstrate the ability to stay focused and perform at optimal levels in practice. Distance-USRPT include race sets specific for the 500, 1000, or the mile using Dr. Rushall's recommendations for optimum speed and power in distance events.

Returning college swimmers can swim 1) for $50 per month and volunteer 1 - 2x week with the younger swimmers, or 2) regular fees apply.  No fees during college breaks and/or during the school year holidays, except for meet fees or other special events.

Group Advancement Decisions:

Requirements are listed as the rule for advancement but sometimes will be modified as determined by the Head Coach Sydney Buckley. Some younger swimmers maybe ready for more advanced work at the recommendation of the head coach and approval of the swimmer and parents. However, our goal is to prevent burnout and injuries so the athlete can enjoy the sport of swimming for many years. The Head Coach will have the final decision on all manners related to the athletes training (in/out of the water and when away from the pool) while members of the team.
