Back-Up Timer

 

Serve as back-up timer; Responsible for operating stopwatches; Assist head timer as required;

Head Timer

Checks all stopwatches and equipment (pencils/clipboards/watches); Ensure all timers are signed in from the various teams; Responsible for stopwatches and lane assignments; Monitor all timers for accuracy; Serve as back-up timer; Collect stopwatches, pencils, clipboards at the end of the session

 

 

 

Preferred

Attend timers meeting; On deck immediately after warm up; Remain till end of session

Heat Winner Prizes

Hand out trinket prizes to heat winners

Hospitality

Set up; work in and clean up the hospitality area; Assist hospitality/concessions coordinator as needed with getting supplies; Refill drinks as needed

Safety Marshal

Responsible for monitoring access to pool deck to ensure that no unauthorized person(s) gain access, check locker rooms and make sure swimmers are demonstrating safe behavior; 1 female and 1 male per session

Meet Referee

Responsible for running the meet; Gives instructions to officials working the meet

Officiate all events, including stroke & turn, starting, on deck referee

Responsible for operating stopwatches and Colorado plungers and recording times on time sheets

Computer Table

Admin Official

Operates Hy-Tek Computer; Works directly with Meet Referee and supervises/directs administrative side of the meet (entry, registration, timing, scoring)

Colorado Timing Lead Operator

Primary operator of the timing system; Training on the system is needed

Training Required

Report 30 minutes prior to the session start; Remain till end of session

Colorado Timing Assistant

Assist the Colorado Lead Operator; Can be used as the training position

Awards/Program Sales

Sell Programs before and during the met; Getting award labels from the computer person, placing them on the awards and filing awards in appropriate team bags.

Assist the Hy-Tek Computer Operator

Copy heat sheets, distribute and post; Pick up timer sheets and bring to the computer table; Pick up DQ slips from Meet Referee and bring to the computer table; Post event results; Assistant where required

Clean Up

Responsible for taking down all equipment required to run the meet and facilities clean up; Heavy lifting is involved

Responsible for controlling and directing drop-off traffic in YMCA Parking lot to make sure lots is kept clear for non-meet participants
