USA Swimming Coach Membership Requirements
2015-2016 Coach Membership Requirement Checklist
Background Checks--Coaches and officials must take Level 2
Athlete Protection Training (APT)--Required for coaches, officials, and non-athlete members.
New members will be required to have their non-athlete application form and payment processed by their LSC registrar before they can sign in to complete the APT course.

All new coaches are required to take Foundations of Coaching 101 PRIOR to becoming a coach member.
Coaches registering for their 2nd year of Coach Membership are required to complete FOC 201 and Rules & Regulations prior to becoming a coach member for that year.

Concussion Awareness Training
Minnesota state law sets out that any nonprofit organization that organizes a youth athletic activity for which a fee is charged, must require all participating coaches and officials to receive initial online training at least once every three calendar years consistent with the Concussion in Youth Sports online training program available on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention web site.
