Aquatics Director
The Wisconsin Club is looking to hire an experienced Aquatics Director for the 2020 summer season. The main working hours for this position will run from Memorial Day through Labor Day so this would be an amazing opportunity for a high school swim coach or teacher looking to supplement their summer income. There is some need both prior to the season and after the season for flexible occasional hours to: hire lifeguards, get policies and procedures up to date, set up swim and safety programs, ensure the pool is suitable for opening day, and to ensure the pool is closed properly at the end of the season.

Position Summary:

The Aquatics Director supervises the operations and staffing of Wisconsin Club swimming pool. This includes the creating, planning, promotion, coordination, scheduling, and evaluating of the variety of programs specific to the aquatic area. The Aquatics Director ensures the safety of the members and their guests in the swimming pool and surrounding deck and provides programs to enhance the fitness and enjoyment of members and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training certification, American Red Cross First Aid certification, Professional Rescuer Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certificate, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certificate, and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or equivalent upon employment.
  • Work outdoors, being exposed to extreme heat and sun for length of shift
  • Work full time during the Memorial Day through Labor Day season
  • Work additional hours outside of the Memorial Day and Labor Day season
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions

Pay range is $15 - $20 per hour, dependent upon experience.

Pool Manager
The Village of Shorewood Hills is accepting applications for the position of Pool Manager. This is presently a part time, year round position with seasonally adjusted and flexible hours. The position is responsible for managing all operations of the pool including staffing, purchasing, programming and mechanical functions including opening and closing. During the summer season, the pool employs about 70-80 individuals. The Village encourages a wide range of individuals to apply, including those with management, aquatics programming, and staffing expertise. Mechanical/technical aptitudes in maintaining a pool are desirable. The Shorewood Hills Pool is a 50-Meter, 10-lane, outdoor facility.  There is an additional wading pool with water features as well as a concession area and locker room facilities.  The pool has a diving well incorporated into the deep end, with two, 1-meter diving boards.  Our pool operates on seasonal memberships that are open to both Shorewood Hills residents as well as those from around the Madison area.  A typical day at the pool will incorporate open swim times as well as organized programs that include swim and dive lessons, swim and dive teams, water ballet, masters swimming, and water aerobics.  The pool is generally in use from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM.  In addition, we host several events including such things as a water ballet show, a triathlon, swim and dive meets, and various membership events.

Head Swim Team Coach
The La Crosse Area Family YMCA is currently seeking a Head Swim Team Coach for our competitive swim team consisting of 200+ swimmers. Candidate must be energetic, professional, organized, and have the ability to develop and grow participants, staff, volunteers and a parent committee. The Head Swim Team Coach will be responsible for all aspects of the team including recruitment, staffing, swimmer and coach development, budget management, fundraising, and website management. This is a full time salaried position working 40+ hours per week (including nights for practices and weekends for meets) and includes a full benefits & relocation package along with a free family Y membership.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Head Coach
Ashwaubenon Swim Club (ASC) is a non-profit association focused on competitive and recreational swimming for swimmers of ages 6-18+ years and co-sponsored with Ashwaubenon Park and Rec.  We are expecting our head coach to develop leaders and accomplished swimmers in a team environment through a commitment to swimmer evaluation, goal development and sound swimming technique, while challenging athletes with endurance and physical fitness associated with competitive swimming.

Job Responsibilities

  • Be approachable, visible and communicate openly with all club members and swim team families. 
  • Bring an enthusiastic and energetic approach to each and every practice and swim meet.  Focus on swimmer development which rewards effort and commitment as well as results.
  • Develop strong relationships with all swimmers on the team, board members, high school coaches and Park & Rec personnel.
  • Facilitate and run all practices with the help of assistant coaches occurring daily, mornings, and weekends as pool time allows.
  • Design and oversee training plans for all training groups and develop methods to track swimmers’ progress throughout the season.  Set goals with swimmers and monitor phases of individual swimmer development including but not limited to stroke technique, starts and turns, and interval timing.
  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate each season’s home and away meet schedule consistent with the needs of the team, individual training groups, athletes and their families.
  • Assist with the preparation, operation and clean-up of practices, home swim meets, and team functions in our state-of-the-art facility that we call home.
  • Support and exemplify USA Swimming’s Safe Sport initiative.
  • Keep current with research in aquatics related areas and actively participate in the Wisconsin Swimming House of Delegates quarterly meetings.
  • Hours will vary based on practice and meet times

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • General swim knowledge and competitive swim coaching experience.

Coaches
The Southwest Aquatic Team (SWAT) is not-for-profit competitive swim team located in the southwest region of the greater Milwaukee area. Our program is a year-round competitive swim team that carries around 250 swimmers annually. We have a dedicated volunteer-based parent board, pride ourselves as athlete focused and a coach supported organization. We also have a swim school affiliated with our program serving as a feeder system.

SWAT is looking for a reliable, motivated and enthusiastic coaches to work our 13&O and 12&U swimmers.

Partial responsibilities of the Coach are listed below.

  • Current USA Swimming certifications or willingness to obtain within two months of employment.
  • Coach and administer practices scheduled for group coaching with.
  • Attend meets on the group schedule and other meets assigned to assist.
  • Complete other tasks as determined by the Program Director.

This position will consist of 9 to 25 hours a week depending on the particular mesocycle within the season. Compensation will be based upon experience and is highly competitive to other area swim programs. Start is immediate and will remain open until the spots fill.

Assistant Head Coach
The Fox Cities YMCA Swim Team is a club swim team that is both YMCA and USA Swimming sponsored. We provide opportunities for athletes of all ages and abilities to achieve any goals they wish to pursue within the sport of swimming. The Assistant Head Coach is responsible for helping the Head Coach with all aspects of team leadership. Age Group Assistant Coach

Interim Assistant Swim Coach
The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Swimming and Diving program is currently seeking an interim assistant swim coach for the 2019-2020 season. Head Coach
The Northfield Swim Club, based out of Northfield, MN, is seeking experienced candidates to fill the position of Head Coach. Northfield Swim Club is a non-profit, community based organization. The Head Coach reports to a Board of Directors composed of parent volunteers. Qualified applicants should be USA Swimming Certified and in good standing. Head Coach
Black River Youth Swimming, Inc. (BRYS) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable head coach for our winter and summer seasons for our competitive swim program. This position is available immediately.

Position Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school degree or equivalent
  • USA Swimming Certification (preferred, but will work with coach on getting the certification)

Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate preseason preparation including recruitment of past and new swimmers, promotion, planning of practice schedule, meet schedule, registration forms and process, parent informational meetings and team apparel.
  • Plans curriculum and manages practice sessions that develop and improve the technical and physical skills of swimming. Maintains an organized, healthy and safe environment and ensures the safety of all participants.
  • Maintain current information and parent communication through YDC web site/Team Unify and family folders.  Ensure that swimmers are entered and updated in Team Unify and that all are collected and processed. Keep tract of any permission forms that are required of parents.
  • Prepares swim meet information, entries and registrations, attends meets, directs and manages warm ups and team discipline, provides encouragement and motivation.
  • Active role in preparation and running of home swim meet.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills through emails, in person, and phone calls.

Madison West Assistant Swim Team Coach

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Competitive swimming experience at the high school or collegiate level. At least 1 year of experience lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons.
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations and guidelines of USA Swimming, YMCA of the USA Competitive Sports.

Lead Age Group Coach 
Piranhas Swim Club, a year round competitive swim club serving South Minneapolis & Richfield, is now hiring for an energetic and knowledgable lead coach for our youngest age group training group (Age Group 1). 

Qualified applicants should have the following:

  • Be USA Swimming Certified and in good standing (or able to achieve this before September 2019, includes passing background check).
  • Ability to create and facilitate focused practices developing and working with swimmers on proper stroke technique and goal setting
  • Exhibit a desire to assist young swimmers in achieving their goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage administrative duties.
  • Excellent oral, interpersonal, public speaking and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Head Coach to oversee the training of Age Group swimmers primarily ages 9-11, including writing practice sets and creating season plans.
  • Cultivate a culture of fun, interactive and competitive atmosphere that motivates swimmers to attain and surpass their goals and expectations.
  • Ability to communicate with parents.
  • Register athletes for swim meets.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to coaching and the sport of swimming.

Salary commensurate with experience. HPAC in Highland Park, IL is looking for an experienced and accomplished career coach to lead our Age
Group program and develop our 13&Under swimmers. Our age group program has grown significantly
over the past 3 years from 75 to 120 members with continued growth expected. HPAC trains in a brand
new, state of the art, 15 lane high school pool. We have and will continue to host swim meets with 700+
swimmers. Our swim club is well supported by the high school. We have a great working relationship
with the boys & girls high school swim coach, who works collaboratively with HPAC during the non-high
