April 27, 2008 - EBAT makes big waves at the 10 & under champs

EBAT had three swimmers compete at the 10 & under short course championships in Sunnyvale on Saturday, April 26th. Lucianna Balica, Andrew Dysico, and Carson Sand represented EBAT as they swam 4 events each (the maximum amount) at this very prestigious meet. 12 swims, 10 best times, and 6 EBAT records were accomplished over the course of this beautiful and hot day. Lucianna got an A time in her 50 free and 100 breast! She also broke the EBAT record in 100 breast and improved her 50 breast record. Great job, Lucianna! Lucianna is aging up in June and its nice to see that she left her mark on the record board. Congratulations,Lucianna! Andrew had stellar performances in both his 50 and 100 frees. He bettered his 100 free time and got an A time in his 50 free. Nice job,Andrew! Andrew actually broke the EBAT record in the 50 free, but Carson came along the next heat and lowered it. Don’t worry,Andrew, you’ve got all next short course season to make a dent on that record board! Go for it! Carson had some great swims at this meet and snared 4 more records on the short course board. He got a AA time in the 50 free being the first 9-10 EBAT swimmer to break 30 seconds with a 29.88. Way to go,Carson! He also broke the 50& 100 fly record as well as the 100 back record. Great job, Carson.

Way to go EBAT swimmers. Your parents, coaches and teammates are very proud of you and your accomplishments. Keep it up! Keep smiling, training, and racing hard!
