Parent and Tot Lessons
Parent & Tot classes are designed to help children ages 6 months through 2 years old to become comfortable in and around water in preparation for learn-to-swim classes. One parent or guardian is in the water and works with their child under the supervision of a certified FAST instructor. Dynamic classes of up to 8 parent and tot pairs work with the instructor to teach their child fundamental skills such as blowing bubbles, arm circles with the head above the water, and front and back floating. Classes meet for 30 minutes.
These 20-minute lessons are designed to help your children become comfortable in the water without a parent. Swimmers will be taught how to blow bubbles, float, kick, and safety skills in a positive environment. Children must be between the ages of 2 and 4.
SPRING 2020 SESSION
Session Dates: Monday, March 16th - Thursday, May 21st
Registration Begins: Monday, February 10th (in person, only at the Fullerton Community Center)
Holidays/No Class Days: No class on Sunday, April 12th in observance of Easter, No class Friday - Sunday, May 22nd - 24th, in observance of Memorial Day Weekend
Forms will be available online for download the weekend prior to registration. We ask that you come to register with the form pre-filled out to expedite the process.
When the form is available, download, print, and fill out the appropriate form from the section below. If enrolling multiple swimmers, one registration form is required for each swimmer. We prioritize placing siblings at the same time, but cannot guarantee this. Please register early and register all swimmers at once, if you need all of them to be at a specific day and time.
For lessons (excluding Pre-School, Parent and Tot, and Pre-Comp), all forms must have three different day and time preferences. This gives us room to find an available class that best matches your child's age and ability level.
Beginning on the registration start date, bring the completed form to our office with full payment in cash, credit card, or check. Unless otherwise indicated, registration takes place in person at any of our offices only. We do not accept mailed in, emailed forms, or phone calls for registration.
Please allow up to two weeks for your class time confirmation via email or phone call. We strongly recommend selecting the "Email" confirmation preference and providing a legible email address. The email will come from [email protected]
