Lesson policies

GTSA New Tampa Swim Lessons Policies & Procedures




Lessons are offered twice weekly on Mondays & Wednesdays (MW) or Tuesdays & Thursdays (TR).  Private lessons are 20 minutes long.  Group lessons are 30 minutes long and can have between 2-4 swimmers in a group.  All lessons are taught in sessions of six.  



Once your lesson is scheduled, payment must be received no later than ONE WEEK from the date of registration.  Failure to receive payment may result in the loss of schedule lessons.  LESSON SESSIONS WILL NOT BEGIN UNLESS PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.   Payments can be made in cash, check or money order made payable to GTSA



Florida is known for the unpredictable weather circumstances.  If you chose not to attend a scheduled swim lesson due to poor weather conditions, you must inform you instructor BEFORE your lesson is scheduled to begin.  If lessons are cancelled due to facility closures, your instructor will inform you


No Show /  No Call

Our program follows the No Show/ No Call policy.  If swimmers need to miss a lesson they must inform the instructor BEFORE the lesson is scheduled to begin.  If a swimmer misses a lesson and does not call or e-mail the instructor about the absence, the lesson WILL NOT BE MADE UP.  If an instructor is not able to make a lesson they will notify the swim lesson at least FOUR HOURS prior to the scheduled lesson.  


Late Policy

If a swimmer is more than 10 minutes late for a scheduled lesson the lesson will be counted as No Show / No Call.  Partial swim lessons are at the discretion of the instructor.  


No Refund Policy

If at any time swimmers are unhappy with their instructors or choose to end the lesson session before the scheduled date, refunds are not permitted.  However, we are happy to work with swimmers to provide a new instructor or to change the course of the lesson.
