PEARLAND AQUATICS (PEAK)—2020-2021

Pearland Aquatics (PEAK) is a year-round swim club affiliated with USA Swimming.  The club strives to help swimmers develop swimming excellence through a structured swim program that promotes good sportsmanship and the value of teamwork.  All swimmers new to the team must have a tryout before joining the team.

WHERE DOES THE TEAM SWIM and WHEN ARE PRACTICES? For the Fall 2020 season the team will have practice groups at the Pearland Natatorium and Reflection Bay in Shadow Creek; swimmers new to PEAK can choose to between 2,3, or 4 days a week practice groups.  The practice group schedule for new athletes is below:

(On days when the Dawson or Pearland High School teams have a meet at the natatorium there is an alternate schedule for Tuesday groups.)

ARE THERE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS?  There are no minimum attendance requirements for each group; however, the more often a swimmer goes to practice the better the skills develop.

HW MUCH DOES IT COST?  To register, there is an annual swim year team registration fee of $120 along with an annual USA Swimming membership fee of $79.  Each group has a monthly practice fee.  The first month’s fee is charged at registration; subsequent months are billed on the 1rst of each month. Please see the list below of fees for the natatorium practice groups:

Natatorium (4x)-$150

Natatorium (3x Group #1)-$135

Natatorium (3x Group #2)-$135

Natatorium (2x)-$120

ARE THERE OTHER TEAM FEES? Other fees that may be charged include team gear (swim caps, t-shirts, etc.) requested by the swimmer and meet entry fees

ARE SERVICE HOURS AND FUNDRAISING REQUIRED?  Each year the PEAK Board determines service hours and fundraising requirements.  For this year, given that there is expected to be fewer volunteer opportunities, the family service hour requirement is set at 4 hours.  As for fundraising, there is no minimum requirement for this year, although if PEAK is able to sponsor a fundraising event all swimmers will be invited to participate.

WHEN DOES THE SWIM YEAR END?  The 2020-2021 swim year ends in August 2021.  Swimmers who register for PEAK are considered active members with the club for the year unless the swimmer withdraws from the program.
