Competitive Groups

Age Group Program ( 8th Grade and Younger )

Green I group is for athletes age 8 & under who have little or no competitive swimming experience. The focus on this practice group is to develop the swimmer's stroke skills and their enthusiasm for swimming. Swimmers must be able swim one length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance to start in this group. 

Green II is for athletes 8 & under who have some competitive swimming experience and would like to continue to refine their swimming skills. Swimmers in this group intermediate and may be in their 1st to 3rd year in the sport

Bronze I is composed of athletes 9-12 years old who may have some experience is competitive swimming, but need work on their stroke technique. The focus on this practice group is to improve the swimmer's stroke skills and develop their enthusiasm for swimming. Time is also spent teaching the "how-to's" of swim practice sessions. Swimmers must be able to swim one length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance to start in the group.

Bronze II/Water Polo Conditioning is designed to meet the needs of a wide range of 11 & older swimmers. Whether you are getting started in competitive swimming, or if you are a competitive swimmer who is also participating in other sports, the Bronze II/Water Polo Conditioning group is for you. This group focus is to improve the swimmer's stroke and skills and develop their enthusiasm for swimming. 

Silver & Senior Program ( Advanced/9th - 12th Grade )

Silver/Water Polo Conditioning 

Qualifications: Must be legal in 3 of the 4 competitive strokes. This group is designed to prepare athletes to move up to Senior Group. The goals of Silver/Water Polo Conditioning is to refine and develop stroke technique, introduce the development of speed and strength and encourage racing tactics.

Senior Group provides training to beginning in the 9th grade. Swimmers are given a challenging practice designed to develop and improve speed, strength, technique and racing tactics.

Must be able to complete 6 x 100 yards free on 1:45 and 5 x 100 IM on 2:00 or have a Coach's recommendation. Must be able to swim all 4 strokes legally, perform safe starts and flip turns. High school aged and up. Senior group members are encouraged to attend 75%-80% of weekly practices and compete 1-2x a month.

Swimmers in this group are expected to have team suit/cap, Finis Glide Snorkel and any necessary equipment.
