This page has been created to help answer some of the most frequently asked registration questions. However, if you have additional questions relating to workouts, meets, events, goal setting, practice schedules, and other swimming related needs, please contact one of the coaches. For all questions related to administrative matters, such as dues, safety, or policy issues, please contact one of the board members.
How do I register?
All ISC members are required to register online through our website. If you do not have access to the internet please contact a board member for assistance. The agreements and waivers can viewed at any time during the season HERE and in the new family info section of our website.
How do I know what group to register for?
If your child is new to swimming please contact a coach to schedule a time for evaluation. If you child is not new to swimming, please take a look at our Swim Groups Page and when registering, choose the group you think best fits your child's age and ability level. If after practice begins you or your child's coach think the group is too easy and/or challenging an adjustment can be made so that they are in the group that fits them best.
When are monthly invoices due?
All monthly invoices are charged to the payment method on file on the first of each month. Invoices are available to view throughout the month through your member account. In addition to monthly membership fees your invoice may include meet entry fees and/or other charges you have authorized to be billed to your account.
Do you charge credit processing fees?
At the time of registration, we do not collect credit processing fees. After registration you can avoid credit processing fees (3.95%) by setting your default payment method on file to ACH (automatic deduction from your checking or savings account).
Are discounts available?
Yes, there is a 5% discount on membership fees for families that pay in full at the time of registration. ISC also offers a 5% discount for families for multiple swimmers. The 5% multi-athlete discount is deducted from all members membership fees. The USA Swimming Fee & Season Hospitality Fees are not discountable.
In addition to the discounts above, ISC has a Sponsorship Program that helps members by receiving a credit on their account. The sponsorship information can be found HERE.
Are scholarships available?
Yes, scholarships are available for families that may not be able to afford the full membership fees. The scholarship application is available HERE. Indiana Swimming also has an Outreach Program that offers reduced USA Swimming Membership Fees to families that qualify. How does the two-week trial period work?
All swimmers new to ISC are eligible for a two-week trial period. The two-week trial period gives you the opportunity to see if ISC fits what you are looking for before committing to the full season. The two-week trial period requires you to register online and set up a payment schedule, however if you cancel within the first 2 weeks you will receive a full refund. This is a requirement of USA Swimming in order to be covered under the club's insurance policy.
Do I have to join USA Swimming?
Yes, all members of ISC are required be members of USA Swimming. This year USA Swimming is offering two membership options, flex and premium. Please review the FLYER for full details of each option. If you do not select one of the USA Swimming Membership options at the time of registration you will be automatically enrolled in the Premium Membership and the applicable fee will be billed to your account. Also, if you are new to USA Swimming we will need a copy of each swimmers birth certificate to process the USA Swimming Membership. Birth Certificates can be emailed to the ISC Treasurer or given to your coach at practice.
Do I have to complete a transfer form?
If Bloomington Swim Club was the last club you swam for you do not need to complete a transfer form. If the last club you swam for was CCiST, please complete this FORM. If you are transferring from any other club, please complete this FORM.
