dROP Aquatics Fall 2021 Registration

Welcome to the dROP Aquatics registration page for our upcoming swim season!

Registration for new and returning team members will open on Monday, August 16 at 12:00 noon.

If you are new to dROP Aquatics, please contact Molly Tyler at [email protected] prior to completing your registration to ensure the appropriate registration group is chosen for your swimmer.

PLEASE NOTE: Our plan is to practice outdoors at the Farmington Glen Aquatic Club for September and October, and then transition to Farmington High School in November. Once we move indoors practice times will most likely change. Navy, Mint, Tardigrade, and Water Cub practice groups will start at either 5:30pm or 6:00pm, after the high school swim team finishes practice. Masters practice may be offered on specific weekdays, due to high school morning practices. More information will be available later in September.

Our Winter Session times will also be similar to the November schedule.

Registration and Payment

  • Registration will open for new and returning swimmers on Monday, August 16 at noon.

Registration and payment are handled through the team’s website: dropaquatics.com. Click on the “Registration” button on our home page to get started.  Any questions about registration should be sent to Molly Tyler ([email protected]).

Swim Meets

Swim meets are offered during the Short Course Season (September-March) through USA & Michigan Swimming. dROP Aquatics will usually try to get into at least one meet each month. Championship/End of Season meets are offered during February and March. Meets are not mandatory, but highly encouraged for those swimmers interested.

The meet schedule for the 2021-2022 season has not been posted yet; however, once it becomes available and meets are chosen, the schedule will be emailed out and posted on our website for planning purposes.

For additional information on how USA Swim meets run, please look for 'Swim Meets' under our 'FAQ' tab on the website.

Team Accounts

Each family will have a private account on our team website. The credit or debit card listed on your team account will be charged for meet fees and monthly fees. Meet fees will be charged once our entry is accepted by the host team. Monthly fees will be processed in the early morning of the first day of each month. Invoices will be emailed out the week prior notifying you of the upcoming charges. Please make sure your payment information is current on your account before the first of each month. A $5 late fee will be charged for all declined transactions.

Team Store

We have partnered with Making Waves to create a dROP Aquatics team store, which includes team suits, apparel and practice equipment. The link is available at the ‘Suits/Apparel’ tab on our website.

Suits, Caps, Apparel and Equipment

  • Please see the “Team Store” section above for information regarding our personalized store via Making Waves.
  • Our team suit is a solid navy suit with a screened logo. Swimmers may choose whichever brand and style they prefer. Customized items cannot be returned, so if you’re unsure of size, we suggest trying on a friend’s suit or visiting a local retailer to determine size before ordering anything with the team logo on it. Team members are not required to wear team suits.
  • Each registered swimmer will receive a latex dROP swim cap. Additional caps may be purchased at practice from Coach Drew for $5. An order for silicone caps may be placed during the season if there is enough interest. Swimmers are not required to wear caps, but if they do wear a cap at meets, it must be a dROP Aquatics cap.
  • Additional customized spirit wear can be purchased from MyLocker.net. The link is available at the “Suits/Apparel” tab on our website.
  • While it is not mandatory, we highly recommend that swimmers in the Navy and Mint practice groups bring their own equipment to practice (ex: kickboard, pull buoy, hand paddles, fins, snorkel). Swimmers who would like to purchase their own equipment should ask their coaches for specific recommendations regarding brands and styles.
