 USA Swimming IM Extreme

IM extreme (IMX) and IM ready (IMR) are programs that each swimmer will earn power points based on assigned events. These events are assigned by USA swimming. IM ready is designed to get swimmers ready for IM extreme. IM ready is compiled of 5 shorter events. IM extreme is compiled of 6 longer events. Events for both IM ready and IM extreme are specific to age groups (9 and under, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 year olds. The purpose of this program is allow all swimmers to earn a score that they can then compare nationally, with in the club zone (we are in the central zone), the state of Indiana and then with in our own club. Everyone who has completed the events required gets a score automatically from USA swimming its power points table. Each time your swimmer receives a new best time their score will change. This is the score you will use to qualify for the IMX Challenge meet held each winter. Below you will find the list of events and a link that takes you to instructions on how to find your IM ready and/or IM extreme score at USA Swimming.
