About Make a Splash

Our Learn-to-Swim program partners with Make a Splash, a national child-focused water safety initiative of the USA Swimming Foundation, which aims to provide the opportunity for every child in America to learn to swim. Make a Splash partners with learn-to-swim providers and water safety advocates across the country to provide swimming lessons and educate children and their families on the importance of learning how to swim. The USA Swimming Foundation has invested millions of dollars to provide grants to qualified Local Partner learn-to-swim programs, to spread national awareness, and to bring together strategic partners to end drowning.  To date, nearly 2 million children have received the lifesaving gift of swim lessons through our Make a Splash Local Partner network, comprised of more than 600 qualified lesson providers across the nation. To join us:

Registration and placement for our pre-team learn to swim takes place on specific days during our official registration weeks in the fall and spring.  To properly place the children in groups, all swimmers must enter the water and demonstrate skills during one of these official registration dates.  Pre-team learn-to-swim groups usually fill during the first day of registration.  Therefore, no early or late registration is accepted for these groups.

If you feel your child is qualified for the competitve swim team, it is preferable that your child join during one of the scheduled registration dates (check Events on the Home page of our website).  This allows the coaching staff to form a better seasonal plan for your child.  Experienced swimmers (for example those new to the area who have swum competitively in the past), however, may tryout for the team at any point during the season.  To schedule a  competitive team tryout, please contact the coaching staff by using the "contact" tab on the main tool bar.  To ensure the proper training and progress of our current swimmers, the coaching staff does reserve the right to limit registration during the 6 week periods prior to our short course and long course championship meets.

Pendleton Swim Club is committed to bringing high quality aquatics to the children and teens of Madison County.  We are glad you are considering us as a provider of athletic programming for your child!
