All swimmers need to supply their own swimsuit, goggles, towel and water bottle.
In swimming, we use additional equipment to help us improve on certain areas of our swimming and technique. As your swimmer(s) advances in swimming, they will begin to use more equipment.
Although not required it is strongly encouraged to purchase equipment for your swimmer as it will only help them succeed in swimming. Since different groups require different equipment, please direct any questions about what will help your swimmer(s) grow in the sport.
Additional Items: fins, snorkles, paddles, kick board and mesh bag.
Most of the items we have at the pool for swimmers to use during practice, but investing in this equipment, will ensure they have ones that fit them.
Practice and Team Suit Information
Having a proper fitting swim suit that is functional at practice and meets is important. Having a suit that is too big or too small can lead to your swimmer being uncomfortable. When looking for a suit the proper fit is important. Lycra suits will wear out faster over time. Polyester is a very durable material that will last multiple seasons if taken care of. Practice suits come in a variety of colors, patterns, and styles to fix your swimmers style.
Team suits are required to be worn at all meets. You would never see a football players wearing different uniforms on game day, that would be silly. The same concept applies for the swim team. Team suits unify us as a team and help identify your swimmer during meets. If you have any questions about suits, please as a coach or board member.
