Q: What do the different groups mean?
A: WWSC has 3 different training groups. Swimmers are placed in the appropriate training groups only under the coach’s discretion.
Bronze is our beginner entry-level ability group, and/or for those who have completed Starfish Stroke School. Their focus is stroke technique and team unity.
Silver is our intermediate ability group, for upper elementary students and Jr. High School students. Perfecting strokes and conditioning are a major focus for this group. On deck dryland training is included for ages 12+.
Gold is our top ability group. This high performance group mainly consists of High School and Jr. High students. The focus of this group consists of strength training, perfecting strokes, starts, and turns, as well as conditioning.
Q: How do I Login to the team website?
A: Once you turn in all your registration forms an email will be sent to you from TeamUnify with a link and instructions on how to login, and setup your account. The website is a great tool for viewing records and times, viewing your monthly invoice and dues, and signing up for meets.
Q: When are the swim meets and how do I sign my child up for them?
A: Swim meets are posted on the team website, and on the team calendar. WWSC tries to schedule competitive swim meets where our swimmers will be pushed to their best potential. On average, we attend 2 meets a month. Swimming in meets are optional, but are extremely encouraged. Once a swim meet has been scheduled it will be added to our website for sign-ups. At that time you can login to your account and simply check the events your child wants to swim. 7 Days before the sign-up deadline a reminder will be emailed to you with step-by-step instructions on how to sign-up if you are unsure on how to do it.
