Jobs in Red are Open and we are need of volunteers

A. Public Relations Communications (Kelley Dickson/OPEN)

Publicize CATS accomplishments (individual and team) in the local media. Work closely with coaches to collect accurate information for every meet.  Coordinate with Social Media creators to include photographs in publicity.

B. Social Media (content creator from each group) (Heather Long)

Create content to post on CATS Social Media Pages.  Pictures, fun activities and other notes can be posted.  We will look from one parent from each group to contribute content and collect content.

C. Meet Committee/Meet Director (OPEN)

Organize the meet, identify and coordinate meet workers and assist the Meet Referee the day of the meet to ensure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Must be USA Swimming registered.

a.  Hospitality (Marge Stingle)
Provide meals at home meets for the coaches and officials.

b.  Concessions (OPEN)
Establish system for purchase/donation of food items and volunteer scheduling for home meets. Coordinate and/or assign responsibilities to committee members as required. Report revenue earned from concessions and expenses to Treasurer and remit funds.

c.  Vendors (OPEN)
Work on securing vendors for team hosted events.  Swim Team Store, T-Shirt Vendors, Bag Tags and others.  Coordinate with Meet Director to set up space, arrival times and contracts.

D. Awards

  1. Meets (Colleen Hurley and Bob Fink)
    Responsible for obtaining awards and coordinating volunteers to label awards and distribute to teams.
  2. End of Season (Jill Lex)

Responsible for ordering team plaques/plates for all swimmers for our awards banquets. Coordinate with Coaches to ensure trophy accuracy and to properly arrange for distribution.

E. Volunteer (Dave McGaughy)

Responsible for definition of the credit policy, establishment of a credit tracking procedure and distribution of this information to all CATS members. Record volunteer credits and provide records to the Treasurer for collection of assessments or rebates. Help solicit parent volunteers by using web notices, sign-up sheets or telephone calls.

F. Social Committee  Chair (Ann-Marie Board Position)

Oversight of all Social Events  - must coordinate with the Head Coach on dates for each event  -  must coordinate with Treasurer the budget for each event.

  1. End of Season Banquet- Tabitha Haggie

Arrange and coordinate our end of the season banquet.  Usually takes place in banquet hall with a DJ, Slide show presentation and awards.   Must report fees and set up to the Social Chair.  Event usually takes place in early April.

  1. End of Season BBQ- Jennifer Williams

Arrange and coordinate end of season BBQ that has taken place at Lake Minear.  Responsible for event set up and take down as well as arranging to have food served.  Event usually takes place in August each year.

  1. Parent Party- Andi Herchanbach

Arrange and coordinate a parent party each year.  Usually to take place on a Saturday evening during the summer months, we have used Mickey Finns as a host the past couple of years.

  1. Team Bike/Trip or other activity (OPEN)

Arrange and coordinate a Team Bike Trip and BBQ event during the summer season on a Saturday.

  1. Water Park Trip  (OPEN)

Organize and coordinate travel arrangements and park arrangements for a team trip to a water park.  We have gone to Magic Waters in Rockford in the past.

  1. Group Holiday Parties (OPEN)

One per group.  Organize an event for each group during the winter break.  Activities that have run in past are bowling, laser tag and pizza party.

  1. Mentor Event (OPEN)

Coordinate a new family/returning family social to allow for new families to ask questions and get a better sense of the club.  Coordinator will be responsible for soliciting returning families to attend to act as mentor family for new families.

  1. Team Pictures (Ruth Gheyson)

Organize annual team photograph day. Usually to take place in the fall/winter.

  1. Champ Meet Breakfast Summer (Ninette Robbins)

Responsible for setting up the Championship Team Breakfast in July.  Ordering food, setting date and coordinating donation items and volunteers.

  1. Champ Meet Pasta Party Winter (Colleen Hurley)

Responsible for setting up the Championship Team Pasta Party in February.  Ordering food, setting date and coordinating donation items and volunteers.

  1. Team Dinner Indy Travel Meet Fall (Angela Eads)

Responsible for setting up a time and location for the team dinner in Indianapolis during the November travel meet.  Also will need to collect a list of those who will attend the dinner and set up payment with coaches.  We have usually gone to Buca Di Beppo.
