Coaching Team

Coach Kevin is entering his 7th season coaching for the Barracudas. In addition to coaching Quail Hill, he has also been an age group coach at Novaquatics since 2012. Growing up in Irvine, he swam with NOVA for 12 years. Graduating from Woodbridge High School, he went on to study and swim at the University of Southern California where he received his B.A. in Communication.

Kevin's knowledge of swimming, and remarkable ability to communicate effectively with kids makes him one of the best coaches in Orange County. We are thrilled to have Kevin Little as our Head Coach!

Emilano Olague

Emiliano will be a graduated Senior from Northwood High School this summer, and it’ll be his 4th year coaching with the Quail Hill Barracudas. He has been swimming competitively for over 10 years now, which has provided him with extensive knowledge about the sport. He has swum for the Irvine Novaaquatics for 9 years and competed for Northwood’s Varsity Team for the past 4 years of school. Swimming has taught him to work hard, act responsibly, and aim for his goals, and hopes to pass along these values to the kids on the team. In the fall he will be attending California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo, and is looking forward to another great summer with the Barracudas family!

Grace Zhou

Since Grace's first experience in the pool when her parents decided it would be a good idea to take her down a waterslide when she was just 6 months old (not a good idea), Grace has swam competitively on Irvine Novaquatics for the past 11 years. Through countless meets and practices, swimming has been a huge part of her life, and she enjoys sharing her love for the sport with others. In the fall, Grace will be a senior at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. She looks forward to another fun and successful season with the barracudas!

Faith Hoang

I will be a senior next year at University High School and this will be my second year coaching with Quail Hill. I’ve been swimming competitively for 10 years now in ISL and fell in the love with the sport ever since. I am currently swimming for my high school team which has taught me so much about leadership, teamwork, and a sense of community that I hope to bring this summer to the team! My favorite part of coaching is seeing each kid achieve their personal goals and come together as one big family on and off deck.

Caedon Ng

11 years ago, Caedon joined the Quail Hill Barracudas at its inception. After 8 years of competitive swimming with the Irvine Novaquatics and 3 years of competing on the varsity swim team at University High School where he now serves as captain, he's returning for his second year of coaching for the Barracudas. He is once again excited to have the opportunity to give back to the team he grew up on and just like the coaches who guided him, help kids gain confidence in swimming their very best.

Volunteer Coaches

Samuel Chan
Sam is a rising senior at Jserra Catholic High School and will be coaching the Quail Hill Barracudas for his second time this summer. Starting Nova Swim at 8 years of age, Sam at first did not like the work and pain swimming entailed but prevailed mostly because of the friends and fun environment naturally molded in a swim team. Sam finds delights in watching swimmers enjoy the same sport he has participated in. He is super excited to work with all the swimmer and for another fun year with the Barracudas!!!

Caleb Chan

Caleb Chan just finished his freshman year at Jserra Catholic High School. Swimming Varsity at his high school, Caleb is super excited to coach the swimmers at Quail Hill and nurture a similar spirit that comes from a high school team. He began swimming competitively at the age of 8 at Irvine Novaquatics and even spent a couple years under Coach Kevin!  He has always looked up to his coaches as role models and is very thankful for the opportunity to take part on such role for the Barracuda Swimmers. “Never underestimate the importance of having fun!”
