New Trier Aquatics Swim Programs:
New Trier Aquatics (NTA) is a community based organization that develops athletes 5 years and older. The use of multiple levels allows specific instruction for each athlete during their time with the program. All movement between levels is based on a combination of skill and age progression and is solely at the discretion of the Head Coach. Below you will find a brief description of our overall group structure along with links to individual group descriptions.
Masters offers continued competitive opportunities for adults at all stages of their swimming careers! Swimmers participating in Masters may range in skill from beginner to Masters World Record Holder - wherever you're at, we have a place for you!
This is NTA’s first level for K thru 5th graders. Practice is offered twice per week and swimmers will participate in a number of select meets. Swimmers will be building competitive swimming skills by refining all strokes. This level will be split into a Monday/Wednesday group and a Tuesday/Thursday group, with an optional Saturday make-up practice.
Development is NTA’s second competitive level. This level will focus on continued development of technical knowledge and begin to introduce some training elements into practice. There will be an introduction to NTA’s dryland progression. Swimmers will be asked to compete once per month and represent NTA at all Championship Meets for which they qualify. Swimmers in Development will be in 2nd through 4th grade. The three Development groups are listed below. Descriptions can be found by clicking on each group name:
