WAVES D1 NCAA All Americans
These athletes, developed in the WAVES program, became Division 1 NCAA All Americans,
finishing in the top 8 at the D1 NCAA Championship meet while competing in college.

  • Jacob Hanson, Eastern Michigan
  • 2012, 200 BK 7th (1:42.11 prelims)
  • WAVES athlete from age 7 to 17.
  • Jacob is the first male from Bloomington-Normal in 49 years to achieve D1 All American status in swimming since Tom Stock, representing Indiana University in 1963.

  • Lindsay Gendron, Tennessee
  • 2012, 200 FS 6th (1:43.89), 400 medley relay 3rd (47.50 split), 400 free relay 7th (47.96 split prelims)
  • 2011, 1650 FS 8th (16:01.77), 400 medley relay 4th (47.51 split),400 free relay 7th (47.92 split)
  • WAVES athlete from age 7 to 16.

  • Monica Drake, Arizona
  • 2012, 800 free relay 3rd (1:44.20 split), 400 free relay 4th (47.91 split)

  • WAVES athlete from age 11 to 18.

  • Caitlin Hamilton, Purdue

  • WAVES athlete from age 8 to 18.

  • WAVES athlete from age 10 to 18.
  • Emily is the first female from Bloomington-Normal to achieve D1 All American status.in swimming.
