Alex Simpson

Alex Simpson had her official signing for collegiate swimming.

Thank you to all the swimmers / families and team members for attending this momentous occasion for Alex.

It was a great opportunity for all swimmers to see another one of their teammates preparing to enter collegiate level athletics.

We also had Nick Lowe, Athletic Director for Greenwood High School, kick off the ceremony with a brief speech and introduction.

Alex will be attending Asbury University in the fall.

Her future coach will be:  Coach Alex Keyser.

Coach Keyser attended the signing and presented Alex with a t-shirt to welcome her to the Eagles Swim Team.

Alex had a few things to share with her teammates about her selection to Asbury and her swimming career leading up to this point.

". . .I choose Asbury for many reasons. The biggest reason is that Asbury is the most Christian school I visited. I also get the chance to pursue both swimming and music. I am excited to double major in history and media communications.

I have had a very successful swimming career, in my opinion. I started out with zero swimming experience in seventh grade and went on to attend both High School and Kentucky LSC State Championships and placed top 8 at High School Regionals. I received several awards including:
*Most Dedicated
*Most Improved
*Varsity Letter (4 years)

Most importantly, I learned dedication, leadership, and communications skills that will be vital to the continuation of my education at the collegiate level."  --- Alex Simpson

Thank you everyone for helping make this a special day for Alex and her future.
