Start Juicing

Juicing is an easy, quick way to incorporate more whole foods into your family's diet. Juicing requires a juicer (or blender) that either pulverizes or blends the fruit for liquid consumption. Juicing offers the body many nutrients that are already broken down, making them easily digestible and available to assist your body. There are numerous juice recipes available online. A few basics: Start with a base of apple and lemon and add greens such as kale, spinach, collards, swiss chard, bok choi, dandylion, beet greens, etc. Other tasty bases are apple and carrot, or watermelon and grape. Feel free to add your favorite fruits and be generous with the greens. With a solid, tasty base, you will not be able to tell there are any greens in the juice! Except for the color!
