Vic Moore is rated as a Level 3 Coach by the American Swim Coaches Association and is a lifetime member of the organization. In 2017, Coach Vic was voted by the readership of Sophisticated Woman Magazine as "Northshore's Best" Coach for all sports and also selected by Inside Northside Magazine and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of "Northshore's Finest" young business professionals. In August, Vic served on the Louisiana Zone All-Star Staff. Currently, Vic also serves the community as a coach for Lakeshore High School, Board President of Old Mandeville Business Association and as an Ambassador for the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce. He is also a 2017 graduate of Leadership St. Tammany.
Prior to joining Nu Wave, Vic served as Head Coach and managed the swim program for Pelican Athletic Club in Mandeville, LA (2012-2017). In his five year tenure there, Vic coached athletes to 150+ team records, state records, two selections of 12&Under Louisiana Swimmer of the Year, High School All-American Honorable Mentions, a Nola Metro High School Championships Swimmer of the Meet, multiple state titles in year round and at LHSAA, Top 3 performances at USMS Nationals, and multiple athletes to Top 8 finishes at Zone and Sectional meets.
Additionally, Vic represented Louisiana Swimming at the 2015 Southern Zone Diversity Summit, 2016 USA Swimming Mighty Mid Conference, and had an athlete represent Louisiana at the 2015 Southern Zone Diversity Select Camp. On the dry side, Vic led PAC to USA Swimming Club Recognition Level 3, 2016 USA Swimming Marketing Club of the Year, and 2015 USA Swimming's Swim Today Award. These awards all recognized Vic’s programs for their creative efforts to recruit, retain, market, build, and manage a successful USAS swim club.
He began his coaching career in 2001 while swimming in college for Vincennes University in Vincennes, IN. After serving as team captain for NJCAA Runner-Up Vincennes University and Head Age Group Coach for Vincennes YMCA, Vic transferred to the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, GA to become Assistant Head Coach for Carrollton Bluefins. In his three year tenure, he coached multiple individual state title winners, age group sectional title winners, and served twice on the Georgia Zone All-Star Staff. After that, he served in coaching roles as Head Age Group Coach for City of Mobile Swim Association (Alabama, 06-07) and as an athletic coach for his high school alma mater, the Wesleyan School (Georgia, 07-09).
Vic has a Master's Degree in Sport Administration from Georgia State University and an undergraduate degree in Sport Management from University of West Georgia. He has also worked in higher education as a recruiter and as a Development officer.
