SPRING SUMMER PROGRAM WILL OPEN ON TUESDAY MAY 1, 2018

 

The Jersey Wahoos @ JW Voorhees (Giant Fitness) offers a wide variety of swim lessons for swimmers from toddlers to teens.  Our Instructors are highly qualified and trained by our own staff using our teaching philosophy and lesson curriculum.  At the JW Voorhees @ Giant Fitness, your child comes first!  Classes may be added or deleted based on interest and enrollment.

WIGGLERS PROGRAM (AGE 3 YEARS TO KINDERGARTEN)

MAXIMUM 3 PER CLASS

SPRING/SUMMER CLASSES WILL START ON TUESDAY MAY 29TH UNTIL SATURDAY AUGUST 4TH.  (MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL HAVE RUN FOR 9 WEEKS AND TUESDAY $171.00, THURSDAY AND SATURDAY WILL RUN FOR 10 WEEKS $190). 

GET WET   Age 3 to 5 (K) Students are new to water, have not fully submerged or are not crossing the pool on their backs 40' while using a propulsive kick.  Activities will include kicking front and back, sculling on back, breathing and arm strokes.

Mon, 5:00pm or 6:00pm     Tues 4:30pm or 5:30pm      Wed  5:00pm or 6:30pm     Thurs 4:40pm or 5:30pm     Sat 9:30am or 10:30am or 11:30am  

BEGINNER 1   Ages 3 to 6(K) years old)  Students are fully submerged, understand breathing and can cross the pool 40' on their backs while sculling and kicking.  Activities will include strong kicking front and back, bilateral breathing, sculling for distance, arm strokes, breaststroke kick on back and a balanced body position.

ADVANCED BEGINNER 1   Ages 3 to 6 (K) years old)  Students are swimming freestyle demonstrating a propulsive kick and rotary breathing.  Students can also perform a consistent backstroke.  Activities will include elementary backstroke, front somersaults, freestyle and backstroke for distance and butterfly drills.  This level will challenge student until they enter the 1st grade.

MINNOW PROGRAM (6+)

MAXIMUM 4 PER CLASS

SPRING/SUMMER CLASSES WILL START ON TUESDAY MAY 29TH UNTIL SATURDAY AUGUST 4TH.  (MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY WILL HAVE RUN FOR 9 WEEKS AND TUESDAY $171.00, THURSDAY AND SATURDAY WILL RUN FOR 10 WEEKS $190). 

BEGINNER 2  (6+ years old)  Students have not yet learned breathing in conjunction with arm strokes and or a continuous recovery backstroke.  Activities will include breathing, continuous arm recovery in freestyle and backstroke, sculling, breaststroke kick on back and a balanced body position

BEGINNER 2 INTERMEDIATE:  (AGES 6+) Student who have knowledge of Freestyle and Backstroke, but are not proficient in strokes.  Students have some knowledge of Breaststroke and Fly kick.

Mon  6:30pm   Tues  6:30pm      Wed 6:00pm or 7:00pm     Sat.  11:00am

ADVANCED BEGINNER 2   (Ages 6+)  Students are proficient in freestyle and backstroke.  Activities will include bilateral breathing, breaststroke and dolphin kicking, elementary backstroke and somersaults.
