2018 REGISTRATION INFORMATION AND SCHEDULE IS AVAILABLE UNDER THE "Summer 2018" tab. Below is a general description of the program.
The Baker Park Barracudas Swim Team is a summer recreational swim team that promotes competitive swimming of all levels focusing on three main points; Fun, Education, and Activity. This is NOT a learn-to-swim program, but a developmental program to complement a lessons program or stroke and turn clinic the swimmer has previously attended.
ALL NEW SWIMMERS to the program, whether novice or experienced with other competitive teams, are required to attend an evaluation with the coaching staff. If a swimmer is recommended to the program by the lessons program at the Y, this evaluation may not be necessary, but understand that evaluations are helpful with placing swimmers into the appropriate training group.
Baker Park Swim Team should be a fun swimming experience that can lead into a year-round program if desired. We want to provide education about the sport through drills and coaching, offering more practices to all groups. And we want to keep kids active through the summer months. We participate as part of the Tri-county swim league and runs from Memorial Day to the end of July.
Please contact Ryan Kennedy via email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Please be on time for your designated practice. The time on the schedule is the time we start the workout, please give all swimmers and coaches the opportunity to have a positive and constructive practice.
