Heat Levels

Programming Changes:

*Swimmers MUST be registered in a HEAT Level prior to the first practice. If you have participated in HEAT before, you should have received a HEAT level assignment for the upcoming season.  If you have not participated in HEAT before, you will need to attend the evaluation session prior to the start of the season.  Staff will be on hand to take attendance, and any swimmer who is not registered will have to sit out of the practice.

*Registration for HEAT and USA covers the cost for a team latex cap.  If you wish to upgrade to a silicone cap,  please turn in the latex one you receive and pay the difference in cost.

Swimmers with previous HEAT experience:

Register for the Level you participated in last season. If you wish to advance Levels contact your previous coach.

USA Swimming

USA (Travel Group)

It is required that USA swimmers must attend 1 USA meet and 1 WMSL dual meet if 14 years of age.

USA Swimming challenges swimmers to develop strong fundamentals in training as well as meets.  This opportunity allows additional practice times for swimmers to participate in more meets, and allows higher goal setting.  The HEAT USA program encourages swimmers to find their niche in the swimming world.  Meet locations can range from 10 min away, to over 2.5 hours away.  If you are looking for additional information please contact our Head Coach Michaela Rookus at mrookus@hpseagles.net

Please note USA Swimming is an optional program.

Registration fees associated with USA cover registration costs, coaching fees, and meet fees for USA programs only.  Participants MUST also sign up for the HEAT Level they are assigned by coaches in order to practice with HEAT Levels and compete at HEAT meets during the winter and summer seasons.  There are also per event costs for the USA meets.
