ALL BREAKERS SWIM TEAM members must be in good standing with USA Swimming and YMCA Competitive Swimming.

MINI-BREAKERS: Ages <12 (Recommended: attend 2 practices)

Members only: $30

Location: Central, Lap pool

Schedule: Tues AND Thurs, 5:30-6:30

Mini Breakers are the first level of the swim team. In this level, we begin developing all 4 competitive strokes, starts and turns and preparing for local competitions. This is a great team environment and full of fun!

Must be able to swim 50 yards freestyle unassisted; Complete a 25 yard backstroke/recognize br & bk kicks.  Desire to learn more about swimming.  Swim meets are home meets/YMCA/USA. Learn all 4 competive strokes, starts and turns & finishes.


Developmental: Ages <12 yrs (Recommended: attend 2 practices)

Members only: $45

Location: West, Lap pool

Schedule: Mon, Wed & Thurs, 4:30-5:30pm

This group is designed for swimmers who have graduated from Mini-Breakers and are ready to take the next steps into continued stroke development & the basic understanding of a swim team.

Here we are trying to develop legal stroke mechanics for all 4 strokes and build endurance. The focus is on character building, sportsmanship and working together. At this level, swimmers start competing at the local level. Competition is not mandatory, but is a fun and exciting opportunity for the athletes.

Swim a 100 free, 25 of each stroke, (back, breast) 1/2 25 fly, streamline to flags.
Desire to learn more about swimming. Beginning to read pace clock swim 4x50 free on 1:00.
Swim meets: YMCA/USA meet, Strives for Jr. Olympic times.

Refine the  4 competitive strokes, and starts, turns and finishes.  Learn team skills, how to read pace clock and improve fitness.


Junior: Ages <12 yrs (Recommended: attend 3 practices)

Members only: $65

Location: West, Lap pool

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:15-7:00pm

Location: Central, Lap pool

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00pm November 6:15-7:15

Swimmers will improve endurance and technique, as well as the basics of competitive swimming, like learning how to read a pace clock and the rules for each stroke during competition. Athletes will build a team philosophy together and learn what it means to be a supportive teammate in a fun, engaging environment.

Can swim 5x100 on 2:00.  Can swim 50's of all strokes, 200 free, 100 IM.  Able to read pace clock.  Can do starts off the blocks and executes turns in all 4 strokes.  Swim meets are YMCA/USA.  Strives for Jr. Olympic standards.  Refine skill development and develop essential habits.  Improve training ability and begin regular dryland training for increased athleticism.

Junior Elite: Ages <12 (Recommended: attend 4 practices)

Members only: $80

Location: West, Lap pool

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:15-7:15pm (swim 6:15-7:15

Fridays, 4:30-6:00pm

Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 6:00-7:15pm (November 5:00-6:15

Swimmers will refine their strokes and focus on the many aspects involved in competitive swimming, as well as becoming a well-rounded athlete with good sportsmanship and strong leadership skills. This group travels to competitions frequently and can qualify, travel to and compete at Junior Olympic and State championship meets.

Can swim 5x100 on 1:45 and a 200 IM with legal turns, begin to swim 100's of strokes, able to read pace clock and follow sets directed by coach, swim meets are home meets/ YMCA/USA.  Strive for State/Zones standards

Refine skills and learn skills for elite swimming and the art of racing, Improve fitness, Specialization in racing, Weekly dryland focus for core devp


Senior: Ages 13-17 yrs (Recommended: 3-5 practices)

Members only: $85

Location: West, Lap pool

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:15-7:15pm(swim 6:15-7:15)

Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30-7:00pm

Fridays, 4:30-6:00pm

For swimmers who may swim on the high school swim team or participate in other sports. This is a fun, supportive way for older adolescents to stay in shape. Swimmers are not required to compete but can if they choose to and we would love for them to travel with the team. Swimmers compete at local and state levels.

Various abilities and focus, athletes who want to stay in shape to be competitive.
Strive for /Jr. Olympic standards/states.  Swim meets: YMCA/USA meet.  Refine skills to begin preparation for elite swimming, Improve fitness thru weekly dryland training.  Specialization in racing, Team focus, good leadership skills, bridge to Sr. Elite


Senior Elite: Ages 13-17 yrs (Must attend at least 5 practices)

Members only: $95

Location: West, Lap pool

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 5:15-7:30pm (swim 6:15-7:30 pm)

Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm

Fridays, 4:30-6:30pm

Saturdays, 7:00-8:30am

Dedicated swimmers with a strong work ethic who will rise as team leaders in both workload and commitment. Some swimmers have qualified for Junior Olympics all the way up to YMCA Nationals.

Swimmers who will compete at season ending championships, States /YMCA Nationals/Sectionals/Jr & Sr Nationals.  Attendance requirements need to be met, Refines skills, technique and the art of racing, Exemplary character, training ability. Commitment to program.
