Richfield Middle School
The Richfield Middle School Pool is located one block north of Best Buy Headquarters in Richfield. The school address is 7461 Oliver Avenue South, Richfield, MN 55423. The pool is on the east side of the building.
The Richfield Middle School pool was built in 1967 and refurbished in 2007. It was fashioned to meet or exceed Minnesota State standards so that it could host major swimming and diving events. Nearly one acre in size, the Richfield Pool houses a 25 yard competition pool, eight lanes wide. The separate diving well features a pair of one meter boards.
In addition to the 750 permanent seats, there is room for temporary bleachers. Dry-land training equipment and exercise facilities are located in the pool, giving the Piranhas the best all around training.
The Richfield Pool has been the site for some of the top swimming and diving events in the state: Minnesota High School State Championships, club championships meets, and diving championships.
Richfield Municipal Pool
The Richfield Municipal Pool is a 10-lane, 50-meter outdoor pool located at the northeast corner of 66th Street and Portland Avenue South in Richfield. The pool address is 630 East 66th Street, Richfield, MN 55423. The pool is a city of Richfield recreation facility.
The Richfield Municipal Pool gives Piranhas Swim Club swimmers a chance to experience long course, outdoor practices. It also serves as the venue for an annual meet hosted by the Piranhas Swim Club in early June. For this meet the middle 8 lanes serve as the competition lanes.
Olson Middle School Pool - Bloomington
The Olson Middle School pool address is 4551 West 102nd Street, Bloomington, MN 55437. The pool is located at the back of the building. The pool is a 25 yard competition pool, eight lanes wide.
In exceptional situations, when the Richfield Middle School pool is not available, Piranhas Swim Club will practice at the Olson Middle School pool. These situations occur during the school year due to High School athletics using the RMS pool for competition.
