Spring is upon us!  We are excited that many of us are beginning to feel comfortable resuming some of our normal seasonal activities and travel.  We encourage families to return to activities and travel within their comfort level and hope you enjoy!

Please remember that risk of COVID-19 transmission still exists. Both MDH and local county health departments have shown that they are not afraid to shut down activities for even relatively small outbreaks.  So stay vigilant, monitor your child for ANY symptoms and keep them home from practice or competition if they are even slightly ill or have potentially been exposed.  If your travels have taken you to an international destination, please refer to our Safety and Operations Plan for specific guidance. We’ve had a great track record of safety at our club and within the swimming community as whole.  Let’s keep that safety record intact!

As always if you have any questions or concerns, please contact our COVID-19 Coordinator, Charlie Mann at 612-865-2950 or [email protected].

The Velocity Aquatics Board of Directors is excited to announce changes to our COVID-19 policies and procedures effective April 1, 2021 (this is NOT an April fools joke).

Starting April 1, 2021 we will no longer require a daily health survey to participate in practices and meets.  Instead we ask that all participants have on file an active COVID-19 participation waiver. Please click on the link below to sign and acknowledge the new participation waiver. We ask that everyone participating in our spring/summer session complete this waiver immediately.

We still request that all participants self monitor for COVID-19 symptoms on a daily basis and exclude themselves from practice if your are symptomatic, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, have been asked to quarantine by MDH or other health authority or have traveled internationally in the last 14 days.  Please don't let up on self monitoring! MDH has not hesitated to act and shut down groups if they observe even a small outbreak.

We have also updated our COVID-19 Safety and Operation Plan to reflect the MN Youth Sports guidance changes enacted by Governor Walz on March 15, 2021.  This includes a procedure for a potential 7 day reduced quarantine, pod changes and lane/pool capacity changes where applicable.  Please review the updated plan and contact Charlie Mann: [email protected] with any questions.

Thank you for your continued efforts to keep our sport safe!
