WRIGHT COUNTY WAVE TRAINING GROUPS
It is the goal of the Wright County Wave to offer age-specific training for all of our athletes geared toward challenging each individual and developing each swimmer to the best of their abilities. Currently the Wright County Wave Swim Club has seven training groups Minnows, Sharks, Competitors, Junior Competitors, Advanced Competitors, Senior Competitors and Masters. Wright County Wave swim coaches will place swimmers into a training group based on their age and their competitive swimming skill development.
Each training group will have a designated practice time. Click the TRAINING SCHEDULE BUTTON on the website home to view exact practice times and upcoming meets for the season.
Coaches will determine when a swimmer is ready to advance to the next level. A swimmer may advance within the coarse of a season.
Wave swimmers in all training groups will be encouraged to participate in swim meets. Wave home meets are mandatory and short races are available for smaller new swimmers. The purchase of a Wave team swim suit and swim cap is highly recommended. Suits should be ordered at the beginning of the season. Visit the Wave Suits & Caps link on the website to order suits. Caps may be purchased at practice.
