My competitive swimming career started here at Sachem in September of  2008 when I was 8 years old.  Over the years I have competed in Silvers, JOs, Zone Quals, Zones, Senior Mets and Sectional championship meets. I started swimming for my Varsity team at Sachem East in the fall of 2014, where I went on to receive the all-league award my Freshman year and I was awarded all-county my Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. In addition, I was a part of a school record breaking 4 x 100 yard freestyle relay my Junior year.  Throughout my years on Sachem I have been coached by many different coaches, who all helped to mold me into the swimmer I am today. I would like to thank all my previous and current coaches that helped me along the way and had to put up with my shenanigans. I could honestly say that my favorite aspect of swimming wasn’t racing or dropping time in an event, it was spending time with friends. Whether it’s at practice, sitting around during a long meet or getting food in between prelims and finals, I always had a good time with my teammates. While some teammates have come and gone, I thank all of them for making this sport much more enjoyable. As of the day that I am writing this, I am not sure where I will be attending college or what I will be majoring in but I plan on deciding within the next few weeks.   Lastly, I would like to thank my parents for encouraging me throughout my swimming career, driving me to meets and practice, paying all of the fees associated with the sport and for being my #1 fans at ever meet they attend.
