Pool Rules During Practice
In an effort to avoid injuries at the pool, swimmers should be dropped off at the pool no more than 15 minutes prior to practice. Swimmers should begin coach directed stretching or be seated on the bleachers waiting for their coach.
Children not swimming are to be seated on the bleachers with a supervising adult at all times. No child should be running on the pool deck, playing in the locker room or playing outside of the Natatorium without adult supervision. The parent or supervising adult of any child disobeying these rules will be asked to remove the child from the pool area. This is necessary as our club’s use of the pool is dependent on the school district’s observation of us running a safe program and we cannot jeopardize our relationship with the district.
Parents may not enter the pool area:
5:00 PM -7:30 PM on Mondays
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Tuesday - Friday
Developmental and Intermediate Locker Room Use Before Practice
Developmental and Intermediate swimmers are not permitted to use the locker room to change BEFORE practice.
Developmental and Intermediate swimmers are to arrive at the pool no earlier than 6:40-6:45 PM during the week, and 3:40-3:45 PM on Saturdays with their bathing suits on under their clothes and report directly to the bleachers where they can remove their outer layers of clothing. Their swim bags will be kept on the bleachers during practice.
AFTER practice, swimmers are allowed in the locker room to change where parents are permitted to accompany and supervise their children.
Audio or Visual Recording Devices in the Locker Room
In accordance with USA Swimming's Athlete Protection Policies, "Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone camera, is not allowed in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms."
All swimmers are expected to follow this rule, which is hereby incorporated into Team Suffolk's code of conduct.
Violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action.
Natatorium Parking Lot Drop-off and Pick-up Information
There is NO PARKING, NO DROPPING OFF, and NO PICKING UP at the curbside fire lane in front of the pool. For the safety of the children, all cars must park ONLY in designated parking spots when dropping off or picking up.
With cars double and triple parked in the fire lane in front of the pool, the children must dodge in between moving vehicles in the dark to get to their car which is very dangerous.
Please advise your family members and carpools of this rule.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL PUT YOUR SWIMMER'S MEMBERSHIP ON THIS TEAM IN JEOPARDY.
