Description: Once swimmers are promoted as far as the Senior program, they must train more and better than they did when they were younger to continue to improve (swim faster). Senior group requires a commitment to training. Regular attendance is expected. Practice is offered 5-6 days per week, typically for 2 hours each practice.
Short Course (September through May) -- Senior Group practices Monday through Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM with dry land from 4:30-5:00 PM Monday through Thursday. Practice may (tentative) also be held on Saturday mornings, but times vary depending on pool availability. Practice is held at Blue Springs School District Aquatic Center (formerly Centennial Pool Plex/The Blue).
Long Course (June through July/early August) -- Monday through Friday 6:00-8:15 AM. Dry land training Monday through Thursday 8:15-9:00 AM. Saturday practice -- Times will vary depending on pool availability, but usually 7:00-9:00 AM. Practice is held at Blue Springs School District Aquatic Center (formerly Centennial Pool Plex/The Blue).
Equipment: water bottle, cap, goggles, practice suit, long fins, kick board, Speedo pull buoy, Speedo paddles, snorkel. Team suit, t-shirts and cap are required for competition.
