Weather Policy

In situations where weather is going to affect practices, we do our best to balance giving as much advance notice to families as possible, while still making the best decision possible.  The safety of our swimmers, families and coaches is always the main factor when making these decisions.  We follow the lead of our facilities when weather becomes an issue, so all decisions may not be our own.  Practices will continue through simple rain (even outdoors).   
 
So, how will we let everyone know should changes need to be made to the practice schedule with late notice.  Please remember, based off situations (on the pool deck vs. in the office at a computer) we may not be able to put all these methods into action quickly, so make sure you know where to look.  SMS Text Notifications are the quickest way for coaches to spread word of changes.

SMS Text Notifications will not be received unless you log into your account and sign up for them.  There is no way for coaches to do this for you as you must verify your cell phone number and cell phone carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.) through your account on the team website.  Below are the steps to do this:
 
  1. Sign into the team website using your login email and password
  2. Click Remind Me Later on any popup windows that may appear
  3. Click on “My Account” in the menu on the left hand side of the website
  4. Click on “My Account” again in the drop down menu that appears (3rd option down)
  5. You can enter up to up to 2 cell phone numbers to receive these SMS Text Notifications
  6. Enter Cell Phone numbers in the SMS boxes (4th box down in your Account Contact Info Screen)
  7. Select your Cell Phone Carrier (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.) from the drop down menu
  8. Repeat for a Second Phone (we recommend both parents sign up for SMS Text Notifications)
  9. Click the Green Save button in the top right hand corner of the Account Box.
  10. Within a few minutes both cell phones should receive a text notification to verify your cell phone number. 
  11. Click the link in the text notification on your cell phone to verify the number.
  12. Refresh you web browser in you Account page on the team website and a green Verified should appear above your SMS numbers.  If this does not happen repeat from step 6 above.   
  13. While you are in the Account Information page, please take a moment to verify your other account information and fill in extra fields.
