2017-2018 Registration Information

Registration is now open for new swimmers! We look forward to working with your swimmers! Please read the information below for instructions.  You can contact General Manager Scott Pake with any questions at ecacoachscott@gmail.com or (252) 945-8400.

Registration Process

All ECA registration is completed on-line through our website and if possible should be completed before attending an ECA tryout.  Use the Join ECA! link to create an account.  Choose the site your swimmer will participate with and choose "New to East Carolina Aquatics" when asked to select a group.  You will not be charged anything until your swimmer has completed a tryout for group placement.   If your swimmer has completed a tryout before you register electronically, you can choose their assigned group during registration.  Swimmers will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.

****It is highly recommended that you use the Mozilla Firefox browser when registering.  It is free to download. Use this link: Download Firefox

Proof of Age

A copy of your swimmer’s birth certificate is required by US Swimming to complete your swimmer's registration.  Please bring a paper copy at the time of the swim test, or an electronic copy in the form of a scan or picture can be emailed to General Manager Scott Pake.

Fees

There is a $120 registration fee for all swimmers at all sites that covers membership to US Swimming, a swim cap, and a t-shirt.  This fee is collected during registration.  Monthly dues depend on group and site.  For more information on group pricing see the contact list below.  Additional costs throughout the year include meet registration fees, which range from free to $75, equipment costs (goggles, etc), and team suit orders.  Team suits are required for competition and will cost around $40 for boys and around $52.50 for girls.  Non-competitive swimmers are not required to purchase a suit and meets are always optional.

Tryouts

The tryout is an evaluation process that generally involves a one-on-one interaction between a coach and your swimmer and ensures proper group placement. Generally, if your swimmer can swim across the pool without stopping, there is a place for them within our system. Swimmers must bring swim suit and goggles. Dates and times are as follows:
