Winter Practice Links Week #4!

SCHEDULE CHANGE for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. All times/numbers look firm we just received everything we needed late Friday and yesterday.  All times subject to change and have limited availability ESP Saturday morning - ALWAYS wear masks and have a plastic bag to put mask in (walk to lane in mask).

PLEASE ONLY SIGN-UP FOR PRACTICES YOU WILL ATTEND!

  • New Daily Screening Questions must be answered daily prior to attending practice, they can be found at this link:
  • There is no penalty for missing practice if an athlete, or any member of their family does not feel well, they should stay home.

We are going to do weekly sign-ups this starting by 12noon on Saturdays, except on meet weekends/holidays, as opposed to Sundays as previously announced.  This will give everyone a better chance to plan their week.

Please follow these rules when you sign-up:

  • Homeschool - Limit to 3 days per week M-F
  • ALL LEVELS - We are testing a late morning option to see the popularity of this slot, any level may come and we will staff accordingly.
  • Makos 1, Makos 2, and Makos Fit - You DO NOT need to sign-up weekly but follow your M/W and T/TH assigned patterns, you WILL need to sign-up for the Friday/Saturday sessions CLICK HERE FOR MOST RECENT LIST
  • ALL LEVELS - We are testing a late morning option to see the popularity of this slot, any level may come and we will staff accordingly.
  • Age Group - Please limit your sign-ups to 3 days M-Th, and have your 4th day on Friday or Saturday.
  • Senior Prep and Senior Sprint - Your main times are M-F afternoons at the GAC, please do any 5 days M-Sa and you may also supplement with mornings up to 6 days/week.
  • ALL LEVELS - We are testing a late morning option to see the popularity of this slot, any level may come and we will staff accordingly.
  • National Prep, National 1, and National 2 - You have been given the unlimited privilege, but please ONLY sign-up for practices you will be attending.
  • Masters - You have been given the unlimited privilege, but please ONLY sign-up for practices you will be attending.  Your GAC times will begin the week of August 31st.
  • ALL LEVELS - We are testing a late morning option to see the popularity of this slot, any level may come and we will staff accordingly.

Phase B Reminders

Below are the practice sign-up links, remember:

  • Only current registered GCY swimmers in their respective levels should be signing up with links starting August 24th.  We will not be offering trials UNLESS their is space, so text Brad the "day of" to see if their is room.  At this time several of our levels are FULL.
  • Makos 1, Makos 2, and Makos Fit DO NOT have to use sign-up links.  If you sign-up for the practice we expect you to attend.
  • The late AM group is 7:30-9am on MWF and 7-8:30am on TTH.  This is outdoors for the first week, any level can use this time and IF you are available and it works for you we encourage this timeslot, Coach Brad will be teaching and other coaches added as needed.
  • Please assign alternate list if you wish to attend a practice that is FULL, so that we'll know for the future - their are options for you to swim, if you are on the Alternate list we will reach out with those options.
  • If you need to delete a practice use your confirmation email and if you can't for some reason contact Coach Brad ASAP and do so 24 hours in advance.
  • Times/Dates this week are effective this week, but subject to change.
  • If a time/level is not filling or low we have ability to add other levels at the GAC just ask us.
  • Sibling rule is no longer in effect, please attend proper level groups.
  • Immune compromised is individualized, please contact Coach Brad if there are any issues so we can be aware.
  • Masters at Bryan mirrors Phase of Bryan Y, at this time 8 swimmers 4 per side.
  • GREENSBORO Curfew: Please note early AM times subject to change if Greensboro curfew is in effect! 

Athletes are NOT permitted to attend practice if they answer YES to any of the following questions…

●Have you had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 10 minutes) in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 or has any health department been in contact with you and advised you to quarantine?
●In the last 72 hours, have you 1) had a fever or felt feverish? 2) had any muscle aches, chills, or respiratory symptoms, including runny nose, sore throat, cough, or shortness of breath? 3) new loss of taste or smell?
●Is your temperature above 100 degrees?

Athletes who are sick or believe they might have COVID-19 should stay home until you can answer YES to the following questions…

●Has it been at least 10 day since you first had symptoms?
●Have you been without fever for 3 days (72 hours) without any medicine?
●Has it been 3 days (72 hours) since your symptoms have improved?

IMPORTANT: Household members and athletes who have been in close contact with someone who has had symptoms of COVID-19 should stay home for 14 days and monitor themselves for symptoms.


GCY and YMCA of Greensboro COVID Return to the Y Waivers/Membership:

*YMCA AND GCY MEMBERSHIPS must be ACTIVE

   Proper Waiver REQUIRED:

NO MEMBERSHIP = NO SWIM
