Envious Swim Teams:
Group |
Group Description |
Blue Elite |
This group is for our National swimmers, New England 13 & O qualifiers, and select 12 & U. This group travels throughout New England and around the country both competing and training. You must have at least three New England Qualifying times 13 & O and close to or qualified for New England Seniors. Requirements for this group include training attendance, swimmer’s times, ability to complete workouts, meet workout times and is at the coaches’ discretion. Swimmers are recommended, but not required to attend all practices each week. |
Blue 1 |
This program is designed to prepare swimmers and qualify swimmers for New England Age Groups and Seniors. Emphasis is placed on stroke correction, technique as well as natural body strength. Attendance and attitude are key factors that determine advancement into the Rockstar program. Each swimmer in this group should have at least one or be close to New England qualifying time for 13 & O. In this group, we start pushing attendance to better advance the swimmers, especially if the swimmers aspire to swim at the college level. Swimmers are recommended, but not required to attend all practices each week. |
Black |
This group is for 12 & U swimmers who have been exposed to competition and training. Each swimmer would be a 12 & U New England qualifier or close to qualifying and/or 13 & O non-New England qualifiers. We ask that the swimmers try to attend as many training sessions as possible. Stroke technique and race skills are the main focuses of this group. Swimmers will learn the different aspects of racing. Swimmers are recommended, but not required to attend 5 practices a week. |
Gray |
This group is our developmental group where we aim to develop each swimmer into a competitive swimmer who will learn to swim with great technique. The emphasis is on fun, stroke efficiency, and technique. There is not a big emphasis on racing at this point until the swimmers develop. Swimmers are recommended, but not required to attend 4 practices a week. |
White |
FUN FUN FUN! This is the stoke-correction, stroke-development and endurance-building group. This program will teach all elements of all four strokes, dive starts, turns, underwater swimming and endurance training. It will prepare swimmers for the next level. Swimmers must be able to swim all four strokes before entering this group. Swimmers are recommended, but not required to attend 3 practices a week. |
Grommets |
FUN FUN FUN! This is our Pre Squad! These swimmers must be able to swim at least two laps of freestyle and backstroke without stopping and have knowledge of both butterfly and breaststroke. This group will get swimmers ready for our squads, and will run each half hour with up to 10 swimmers per session. |
College Swimmers |
|
Masters |
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, from 5:30- 7am. Our masters program is head up by Envious Swim Coach, Jeff Miksis. It is a structured program with group workouts that vary for all abilities. We have a coach on deck that works on stroke correction and can get times for you if needed. This is a relaxed atmosphere that allows all swimmers to feel comfortable regardless of ability. |
***On Dryland days, please bring sneakers, gym clothes, and extra water bottles.
