Silver

The Silver group is intended for swimmers at least 10 years old or by coaches recommendation. Swimmers in this group have established the fundamentals of the four strokes and are striving to improve technique and endurance. At this level, swimmers should be able to swim 100 yards of each stroke legally. Coaches will heavily emphasize building correct technique for each swim stroke. Starts, turns and relay exchanges are perfected at this level. In addition to swim practice, coaches will work on dryland training as a supplement. Furthermore, strokes are broken down into progressive stages, such as only kicking and upper body technique. Eventually all elements are combined to increase speed and endurance. This is a competitive group that is recommended to compete on a monthly basis. Check the "Meets/Events" tab for swim meets.
