LSC/USA: COMPETITIVE LEVELS
B/BC BEGINNER LEVEL:
Ages 8-12 all start at this level for their very first USA meet they swim.
To advance to the next level the swimmer needs 3 qualifying BB times or he/she turns 13 years old.
At this level, a swimmer who is 13 will automatically move into this division or when he/she gets 3 BB qualifying times( ages 12 and under). To advance from this division the swimmer needs three A qualifying times.
When a swimmer reaches three A qualifying times they are considered an A swimmer. However, some meets allow a swimmer who only has one A time to swim in the meet with an additional one or two bonus swims.
Texas Age Group Swimming
This is a meet held on UT’s campus twice a year for ages 14 and under (short course and long course). In order to attend this meet a swimmer must qualify with higher time standards than the motivational time standards.
