About COPS

Established in 1971, the City of Plano Swimmers (COPS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to offering programs for swimmers of all ages. At COPS, we are committed to teaching effective swimming techniques and training our athletes to reach their full potential. We aim to foster a lifelong love for the sport of swimming through spurring on team spirit, sportsmanship and proactive volunteer participation within our community.

Throughout the past seven years, our team has undergone exponential growth. We have expanded from approximately 290 total swimmers to over 600 swimmers including Fundamentals, Competition Team and Adult Fitness.

Our coaches’ mission is to create a solid team environment that empowers swimmers to reach their goals, and produces positive, well rounded student athletes. We can say with pride that throughout the past fifteen years, 100% of our alumni have gone on to a four year university.

Whether you’re a child learning to take his first strokes or an adult returning to the sport, here at COPS, we have a place for you!
