Coach Adam Sasso began his swimming career at the age of 8 with the Columbus Hurricanes in South Georgia before moving to Athens, GA. After moving to Athens, he began swimming with the Athens Bulldog Swim Club. After graduating high school, he attended The University of Georgia and began his coaching career with the Athens Bulldog Swim Club. Adam coached with ABSC for 8 years under ABSC head coach/UGA associate head coach Harvey Humphries and ABSC head age group Jonathan Foggin. During his years at ABSC, he had the great opportunity to not only coach with Coach Humphries, but also learn from and work with UGA head coach Jack Bauerle and UGA coaches Jerry Champer, Brian Smith, and Stefanie Williams. Adam graduated from UGA with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. He accepted a job with Augusta University Orthopedics and Sports Medicine where he worked with Dr. Monte Hunter, the Chief of Orthopedics, providing outreach medical coverage of collegiate and high school football games, sporting events, and as a clinical physician’s extender. Adam was eager to get back into coaching swimming, and in the fall of 2015 applied and accepted a position as the head coach of the Aiken-Augusta Swim League. Adam has coached ASL swimmers to Winter Junior Nationals and the 2016 Olympic Trials. Adam has now become a part of the Snow Swimming coaching staff and is excited to continue to develop swimmers and athletes here in the DC area.
