USA Swimming is the national governing body for competitive swimming in the United States. USA Swimming was conceived in 1978 as United States Swimming (USS) when Congress passed the Amateur Sports Act. In 1998 the name was changed to USA Swimming. The USA Swimming Headquarters is located in Colorado Springs at the United States Olympic Training Center.

Individual Time Search
The Local Swimming Committee (LSC) is the governing body for swimming at the local level. There are 59 Local Swimming Committees in the United Sates. The LSC is responsible for setting standardized guidelines under which all member teams operate. The LSC sanctions meets, certifies officials, establishes the time standards, and publishes the SWIM GUIDE and meet schedules. FAST’s LSC is Ohio LSC.
The Ohio LSC is in the Central Zone. Each LSC is a member of one of the four zones. The zone is responsible for the Zone Championship Meet in early August. The Zone is additionally responsible for the 3 Sectional Meets held in the spring and summer. The Ohio LSC is Section 3.
