Kroger Neighborhood Rewards Program–Updated 8/23/2017

  • Rewards are credited on a quarterly basis. Quarters run Aug-Oct, Nov-Jan, Feb-April, and May-July.

  • Your quarterly awards need to be assessed and reported during the following times:    By March 15th (for Nov-Jan), By June 15th (for Feb-Apr), By September 15th (for May-July),  and By December 15th (for Aug-Oct).

  • The rebate back to the team (previously a consistent 4%) will now be based on the % of our total purchases into the program from all the groups participating in the program. This may be less than 4%, with program caps it may be more. It will change from quarter to quarter as our percentage of total purchases changes relative to all purchases made by all non-profit organizations.

  • Each family is capped at receiving $300 team credit per quarter.

  • You may connect family and friends to the sharks on your behalf. They need to go in and tie their account to our organization number. If you do this, you must provide our Fundraising Chair with the name and Kroger Plus number of the family who is helping to fundraise on your behalf.

  • Kroger requires all participants to re-enroll your card every April in order for your rewards to count.  However, anyone can register their card at any time throughout the year to start saving.

    Community Rewards Program - How to Sign Up

    All purchases will be are tracked through your Kroger Plus Number/Card. That being said, you need to register your Kroger Plus Card every year and connect it to the Sharks Swim team to receive credit for purchases made at Kroger. See below directions from Kroger for registering your Kroger Plus Card with the Sharks Swim Team. Our Organization number is 81740.

     

    TO USE THE KROGER COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM:

    Register online at krogercommunityrewards.com . Be sure to have your Kroger Plus card handy and register your card with your organization after you sign up. If a member does not yet have a Kroger Plus card, please let them know that they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.

  • Click on Sign In/Register

  • Most participants are new online customers, so they must click on SIGN UP TODAY in the ‘New Customer?’ box.

  • Sign up for a Kroger Rewards Account by entering zip code, clicking on favorite store, entering your email address and creating a password, agreeing to the terms and conditions

  • You will then get a message to check your email inbox and click on the link within the body of the email.

  • Click on My Account and use your email address and password to proceed to the next step.

  • Click on Edit Kroger Community Rewards information and input your Kroger Plus card number.

  • Update or confirm your information.

  • Enter NPO number (81740) or name of organization, select organization from list and click on confirm.

  • To verify you are enrolled correctly, you will see your organization’s name on the right side of your information page.

  • REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your group until after your member(s) register their card(s).

  • Do you use your phone number at the register? Call 800-576-4377, select option 4 to get your Kroger Plus card number.

    Members must swipe their registered Kroger Plus card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger Plus card when shopping for each purchase to count. If you have additional questions please contact The Kroger Gift Services office, Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. at 800-294-4428.

    To Claim Your Community Rewards Contribution

    We have recently been informed by Kroger that they will not provide the Sharks with information detailing individual purchases or contributions to the team due to confidentiality concerns.  This means we have no way to identify how much of the overall check should be credited to each family’s fundraising account.  Kroger is working to allow access to this information for each Kroger account but until this happens, please follow the below procedures so that your family will receive credit for your fundraising.  The Sharks fundraising chairperson will be notifying you via e-mail that quarter has ended and it is time to claim your contribution.  

  1. Download the below submission form

  2. Sign into your Kroger account and go to the Account Summary tab on the left hand sign of the screen.  The bottom section is the Community Rewards section.  Print the Account Summary page, with your name and the community rewards section.  The latest quarters earnings will be listed.  When you print this page, your printer should have a time stamp from the printer which will verify the date.  Attach to the submission form.

  3. If you have more than one household (ex. Grandparents) attached to the Sharks rewards, I will need the name and account # for the other household and the same form.  Attach to the submission form.

  4. Complete the submission form and put in the Kroger folder at the Rec.

     

    We will be monitoring this program carefully.  If we find that families are not being honest about their contributions we will be forced to discontinue this easy and very successful program.  The Kroger program can put a dent in each families fundraising contribution, please be respectful.
