SWIMMER CLERK OF THE COURSE COMMITTEE (24 needed)
Manage the swimmer check-in desk at QSS hosted meets. 

Dates to Work: 12/6- 12/8, 2/28- 3/1, 7/10- 7/12

Winter JOs 12/6- 12/8 Expected Shift Options:

  • 12/6: 2:30- 8:00 PM
  • 12/7: 6:30 AM- 10:30 AM, 10:30 AM- 1:30 PM
  • 12/8: 6:30 AM- 10:30 AM, 10:30 AM- 1:30 PM

 

OFFICIATING CREW (15 needed!)
Become a certified USA swimming official to officiate at meets (even non-QSS hosted meets). Must complete 8 sessions during the swim season to receive service hours.  See link for more info. 

  • Beginning Stroke & Turn Official (15 needed)
  • Administrative Official (2 needed)
  • Returning Official (all levels)

 

GHS CLEAN-UP CREW (full)
Responsible for maintaining the the weekly cleanup and landscaping needs of GHS site.Shed and team house clean-out/organization. Take donations items to Goodwill. May require moderate physical exertion at times. May include handyman type of duties as well.

 

OFFICE CREW (full)
Aid in the organization of QSS office. Keep swimmer files updated including filing awards after meets. Should have a good understanding of QSS structure and procedure to be able to answer parent questions when necessary.

 

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE (3- 5 needed)
Assist Fundraising Chair with the planning, coordination, and communication of the two annual fundraisers: Annual Giving Campaign and Swim-a-Thon.  Work on Annual Giving Campaign will start immediately.

 

QSS PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY CREW (5- 8 needed)
Attend events a take photos and videos of participants to be used for website, social media, marketing, etc. Must have professional quality equipment and software to edit and publish photos and videos. Must have ability to upload photos to the Cluster App.  Parents with videography skills are also needed for assistance in projects for making short videos for JOs and marketing videos.

 

SAFE SPORT COMMITTEE (3 people needed)
Work with team's Safe Sport Coordinators to set-up trainings for parents, swimmers and coaches throughout the year.  Work on ways to improve communication of Safe Sport policies and transparency of implementation.
 

MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE (2 needed @ GHS site)
Assist Membership Chair in activities related to welcoming new members. Assist with answering questions at try ours (August), assist with Team Picture Day and shirt distribution (November), and mentor new families attending swim meets.

 

MEET DIRECTING CREW (3 people needed)
Assist in meet planning and event management of swim meets.

Must be able to work 12/6- 12/8, 2/29- 3/31, 7/10- 7/12.  Plus, additional lead up planning for each event.

 

GRAPHIC DESIGN CREW (3 needed)
Work with marketing committee in helping design materials/graphics needed to market the team. Must have experience and access to graphic design software such as AI.  Projects include t-shirt design, logos, marketing fliers, or scoreboard graphics.

 

ALUMNI COMMITTEE (3 needed)
Assist in the planning and implementation of activities related to QSS alumni. Coordinate Senior Send-Off activities.  The main task for this committee is to (1) follow-up with college athletes and get updates for social media (February/March conference time) and (2) assist in planning the Senor event in summer.

 

SOCIAL COMMITTEE (4 needed)
Assist the Social Chair with organizing and implementing social events for the entire team as well as individual sites. Must be available for December holiday party (likely 12/16) and/or Picture Day (date TBD) in fall.  

 

MEET HOSPITALITY CREW (30 people needed)
Help to organize, prep, cook, serve, clean and purchase food and drink items for QSS hosted meets.  Things that bring value to this committee: people who love to cook for a lot of people, those who love to bake, skills prepping food, restaurant owners or connections, etc.

SWIM MEET SET-UP & TAKE DOWN CREW  (20 people needed)
Set up meet timing system and other equipment the day before the meet. Take down and properly store equipment immediately following the meet. This job requires the ability to be able to move moderately heavy equipment. Swimmers 15 & over may also assist with this role.

Dates that you would need to assist in the late afternoon or evening with set-up or take down (must be available for several dates, but not all): 12/4, 12/5, 12/6 12/8, 2/27, 3/1 7/8, 7/9, 7/12, and any additional dates for dual meets.

 

LEAD MARSHALS (2 NEEDED)
Work directly with meet director to supervise marshals during QSS hosted meets.  Lead marshals will be in charge of assigning marshals locations for their shifts and delegating tasks as needed.
